This evening was nothing short of thrilling! The venue, thanks to the gracious team at Das Glückskind, was both cozy and enchanting, setting the perfect tone for the event. Most importantly, our guest speakers were truly inspiring, drawing us into their unique worlds with their incredible stories.
The evening kicked off with a hilarious ice-breaking session, during which we discovered surprising and funny facts about one another. This set the stage for what was to come: four remarkable women who left us galvanized to the core.
Joana Adesuwa-Reiterer shared her inspiring journey as a human rights activist fighting against human trafficking. Her passion led her to establish a company aimed at empowering youth and women in Nigeria before she returned to her first love—filmmaking. She left us with this powerful advice: “Don’t wait to be invited to the table; sometimes, you have to build your own table!”
Ceri Samvilian, a Vienna-based life coach, spoke about reconnecting with her true self and embarking on a journey of authenticity. She shared how challenging herself and aligning with her core values led her to her calling: empowering people through coaching. She also highlighted the transformative power of journaling and inner work, describing them as game changers in personal growth.
Audrey Kodjo, founder of Diaspora Creatives, championed the untapped potential of the diaspora. She emphasized how community engagement can drive a new, transformative narrative for Africa. Audrey also underlined the growing importance of the creative and cultural industries in boosting the continent’s economy.
Finally, Awoba Macheiner-Agboraw, known to the public through the Austrian show Die Große Chance, captivated us with her breathtaking vocal performance. A trained lawyer, she shared the challenges of securing a job in her field. Yet, through determination, faith, and persistence, she achieved her goals. Awoba is now dedicated to giving back by mentoring and empowering younger girls.
Stay tuned for our upcoming events, and remember—keep blooming!
